What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where patients pay a monthly fee directly to their doctor for personalized, primary care services without involving insurance.
At Movement C.A.R.E. We also offer additional cost savings for our members on additional labs, imaging, and certain medications.
Movement C.A.R.E. Health Clinic focuses on strong patient-doctor relationships, longer appointment times, and an increased accessibility to healthcare services without copays or deductibles.

A fully functioning and staffed Community Health Clinic (Movement Care) with certified health personnel trained to assist patients with services that are vital to them. The Movement Care is a certified Community Health Clinic with a partnership with the St. Clair Community Health Clinic in St. Clair County. We are the only clinic of its kind in our area. Our research has provided that the nearest health facilities to most of our residents are 13-26 minutes away in radius. This factor alone could result in a matter of life or death. Our health desert is a major hazard that this proposed property will assist us in eliminating. This component will initially employ 15-25 medical trained individuals and offer internships to local students interested in the medical profession. We propose at full capacity we will employ over 100 medically trained professionals.
Commonly Asked Questions
-
Can I use my health insurance?
Your insurance cannot be used to pay for your membership. We do not bill your insurance for any of our in-office services, as the majority of these are included with your membership.
Your insurance can still be used for most lab testing, diagnostic imaging, medications, etc. Keep in mind that when using your insurance, they set the rules on whether a test or treatment is covered, and how much it costs
-
Do I still need health insurance?
Since a membership with Dalton Health Direct Primary Care is not health insurance, we recommend having insurance or other insurance alternatives to provide assistance with major medical issues such as hospitalizations, surgery, etc.
-
What is not included in a membership?
Any healthcare you receive outside of our office is not included in your membership.
Laboratory testing that is sent to an outside lab, medications, and certain in-office procedures are not included.
When there is a cost for a test or service in our office, we will always let you know the cost up front. We pass along our wholesale prices to you so that your costs are low and predictable.
-
Can I continue seeing other doctors?
Of course! Many of our patients see specialists and also keep their insurance policies. We are happy to coordinate care whenever necessary.
-
What if I want to leave the practice?
We want our patients to be thrilled with the care they receive, and so we do not have any contract lock-in periods. If patients are unhappy they are free to leave at any time.
-
Do you offer one time visits?
Not at this time. We believe the best care comes from an ongoing and unrestricted relationship with your physician. While one time visits can treat disease, ongoing care prevents disease and helps you live a healthy life.
