A fully functioning Senior Affordable Housing  Community- The Movement Manor will offer trained staff to navigate persons of ages 65 and older with housing assistance. Our research has proven that our area suffers from quality affordable housing for our most precious community resources, our seniors. We endeavor to continue to partner with the City of Birmingham, Jefferson County Commission, HUD, and investors to complete this much needed gated community. The Movement Manor affords seniors the luxury to freely plan and navigate their days how they wish, without the burdens and hassles of traditional home ownership. We endeavor to provide safety and peace of mind living in a well-established, private neighborhood, with on Care Services to include a Community Health Clinic, The Learning Center @ The Movement offering Life-Long Learning sessions and classes, full fitness and exercise facilities with trainers, sidewalks with light poles to ensure safety with 24 hour security on the premises. We propose to initially provide housing for 65 seniors. We will develop The Movement Manor with 5-10 homes at a time to create synergy in the community.
